A little about us

Our story began when Louis and his dad, Yvon, had a TV show: father and son woodworking and demonstrating tools. Yvon represented a power tool manufacturer and found this was an effective way to promote the tools. His career took him to many other positions and eventually to opening our sales agency in 1984. Louis joined the company shortly afterward and there was no looking back. Louis developed custom software that we still use today. We soon earned our reputation with distributors as a trustworthy and loyal partner, bringing only quality products to the market.

As the company grew, it became a family business with Muriel (Yvon’s wife) and Janet (Louis’ wife) getting involved. Janet brought with her many years of experience in customer and technical service. Organisational skills and problem solving are her passion.

Ten years later, Yvon passed away and Muriel retired.

Louis and Janet continued to develop the business. We feel very fortunate to enjoy relationships with the people we work with, both inside and outside the company. Some of these people are grandchildren of customers that Yvon used to call on.

Believe it or not, bandsaw blades still keep us interested after 35 years. While the principles of cutting stay the same, the evolution of materials and new products keep us learning.

Rocol lubricants have been a part of Louis’ life since before we opened the company. He started promoting Rocol products in 1978. Even though Rocol Ltd. has been bought and sold several times, we continue to believe that the products produced by Rocol in the UK are some of the best in the world.

We are grateful to our team, Cathy, John and Leon, for everything they bring to work, for their support and putting up with our humor. We are all dedicated to hard work and excellent service but also believe it should be fun. Why not!
